Regulation of the Professional Practical Training Committee for the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine 

 

Art. 1 Aim 

This Regulation governs the operating procedures and defines the composition of the Professional Practical Training Committee for the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine. 

Art 2. Institution 

The Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine establishes a Professional Practical Training Committee. 

Art 3. Composition 

The Professional Practical Training committee of the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine is made up of the professors responsible for the various areas in which the final training is carried out: 

AREA OF INSPECTION AND CONTROL OF FOOD OF ANIMAL ORIGIN 

Sector of General Pathology and Veterinary Pathological Anatomy 

Sector of Inspection of food of animal origin 

AREA OF MEDICAL CLINIC, PROPHYLAXIS AND AVIARY PATHOLOGIES 

Sector of Infectious Diseases of Domestic Animals 

Sector of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of Domestic Animals 

Sector of Veterinary medical clinic 

AREA OF SURGICAL CLINIC AND OBSTETRIC AND GYNECOLOGICAL CLINIC 

Sector of Veterinary Surgical Clinic 

Sector of Veterinary obstetric clinic 

AREA OF SPECIAL ANIMAL HUSBANDRY I AND II 

Sector of Nutrition and Animal Feeding 

Sector of Special animal husbandry 

Sector of Zooculture 

Two students nominated among student representatives are also part of the PPT commission.
The Professional Practical Training
 Committee is appointed by the President at the beginning of his/her mandate and every time any professors in charge leave their position of the Sector or of the Area. The President of the Committee is appointed from among the members of the Professional Practical Training Committee. 

Art 4. Functions 

4.1 The functions of the Professional Practical Training Committee are as follows: 

  • To coordinate training activities.
  • To identify among the external entities and organizations affiliated with the Department those suitable for the final training of the students of the Degree Course in Veterinary Medicine. 
  • To prepare and annually review the Professional Practical TrainingRegulations. 
  • To provide for preparing and checking the updating of a database on Professional Practical Training activities conducted by students. 

4.2 The result of the activities carried out by the Professional Practical Training Committee must be brought to the attention of the Degree Course Council. 

Art.5 Activities 

5.1 The Professional Practical Training Committee must be operational throughout the year, meeting regularly. 

5.2 The sessions of the Professional Practical Training Committee are convened by the president of DCC, who also establishes the agenda, at least five days before the scheduled date, and are held according to the normal rules that generally apply to the collegial bodies. All meetings of the Committee must be regularly minuted. The minutes and documents produced must be appropriately stored and made available to the Department. This is so that each Body can, depending on its respective competence, take into account the indications, observations and recommendations contained therein. 

Art. 6 Approval of the Regulation 

6.1 This Regulation is approved by the Degree Course Council. Any changes require approval and resolution by the Degree Course Council. 

6.2 With the entry into force of these Regulations, all provisions contained in equivalent or minor regulatory sources in conflict with it cease to be effective.
