Peer Tutoring Service of the University of Pisa
The Department’s Peer Tutoring Service guides, informs and assists students throughout the course of their studies, enabling them to actively participate in the educational process and university initiatives. It:
- is a first point of reference for students for doubts regarding teaching, assisting the activity of the tutor teacher assigned to each student;
- promotes knowledge of the University and Department services and informs students about the possibilities of using them;
- collaborates in the removal of obstacles that make it difficult to attend courses;
- facilitates relations with teachers, operators of the teaching and administrative secretariats and with the University Listening and Consulting Service.
Please note that the tutor does not carry out the tasks that are entrusted to other figures within the University. The tutor replaces neither the secretariats nor the teacher and does not offer private lessons. They do not replace the psychologist when emotional/relational problems arise.
The activities of the peer tutoring service are regulated by a specific Department procedure.

The service is suspended during the Christmas and Easter holidays and in August.
